The influence of an outstanding coach can last a lifetime. Female athletes from the 1960s and 鈥�70s have set up an Acadia award in Liz Vermeulen鈥檚 name to honour their friend and former coach and the strong teamwork she fostered. Now they鈥檙e hoping more of Liz鈥檚 former student athletes and other alumni will join them in supporting the Liz Vermeulen Women鈥檚 Sport Award.

Winners have been announced in the 10th Annual Education Digital Marketing Awards competition, and Acadia鈥檚 Office of Advancement has earned top honours in multiple categories.

Smiles, hugs and plenty of fond memories were the hallmarks of a special reunion weekend Nov. 5-6 on the 外流影片 campus. Nearly 40 team members, family, friends and coaching staff of the 2012 AUS Championship-winning women鈥檚 and men鈥檚 basketball teams returned to campus to celebrate their landmark achievements and support the 2022 men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 varsity teams.

Much-needed rain on the west coast didn鈥檛 keep anyone from attending our alumni gathering in Vancouver on Oct. 27, 2022. VP Advancement (Interim) Nancy Handrigan (鈥�92) and ED, Alumni Affairs Oonagh Proudfoot (鈥�93, 鈥�06) were joined by a fine group of alumni who spent time sharing stories of how they met and what they鈥檙e doing now while toasting the fact that 鈥淎cadia is the real university experience.鈥�

An energetic group of nearly 20 Acadia alumni joined VP Advancement (Interim) Nancy Handrigan (鈥�92) and ED, Alumni Affairs Oonagh Proudfoot (鈥�93, 鈥�06) for a reception at Bard and Banker in Victoria, BC.
