The Office of Research and Innovation, which includes the , encourages students and faculty to explore local and international issues in an interdisciplinary way. Acadia also offers entrepreneurship and experiential learning opportunities through . We offer a large number of undergraduate Honours programs 鈥 most of which are thesis-based鈥攁nd 18 Masters programs & an Inter-University Doctoral Program in Educational Studies.

Acadia is Recognized for being WISE

鈥淲e know that belonging, representation, and early encouragement matter enormously in shaping whether young women see science as a place where they belong,鈥 says Dr. Randy Newman, chair of Acadia鈥檚 Department of Psychology,

Dr. Newman is also the co-chair of WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) Acadia alongside Dr. Melanie Coombs (Biology). The initiative supports women and girls in science and engineering while also fostering institutional and cultural change within STEM environments.
