Much-needed rain on the west coast didn鈥檛 keep anyone from attending our alumni gathering in Vancouver on Oct. 27, 2022. VP Advancement (Interim) Nancy Handrigan (鈥�92) and ED, Alumni Affairs Oonagh Proudfoot (鈥�93, 鈥�06) were joined by a fine group of alumni who spent time sharing stories of how they met and what they鈥檙e doing now while toasting the fact that 鈥淎cadia is the real university experience.鈥�

An energetic group of nearly 20 Acadia alumni joined VP Advancement (Interim) Nancy Handrigan (鈥�92) and ED, Alumni Affairs Oonagh Proudfoot (鈥�93, 鈥�06) for a reception at Bard and Banker in Victoria, BC.

Our western swing kicked off in fine style on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022! VP Advancement (Interim) Nancy Handrigan (鈥�92) and ED, Alumni Affairs, Oonagh Proudfoot (鈥�93, 鈥�06) had a great time hosting a robust group of nearly 40 excited Calgary alumni and friends in the Stampede City.

Resilience amid grief, service above self. Fundamental qualities that reflect Acadia鈥檚 motto, In Pulvere Vinces. There are few people in Acadia鈥檚 alumni community who have confronted personally devastating circumstances and debilitating heartbreak with as much grace, humility and determination and were able to turn it into service for our university as this year鈥檚 Acadia Alumni Isaac Chipman Award for Excellence in Alumni Service recipient, Barry Taylor (鈥�80).

The inaugural lecture in the Dr. Fred Gilbert (鈥�65) Speaker Series presented by the Acadia Alumni Association featuring Acadia Honorary degree recipient Dr. Hans-Otto P枚rtner (鈥�22) was held on Oct. 6, 2022 in K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre auditorium on the Acadia campus. The audience was comprised of students, staff, faculty, community members and politicians.

It was just like old times at 外流影片 during Homecoming Weekend 2022. Skies were overcast, but the rain held off and the enthusiasm of alumni returning with fewer pandemic restrictions lent an upbeat and festive mood that was everywhere on campus.
