Psychology

Psychology is the study of the brain, behaviour, and mental processes.

Find what motivates you.

Psychology explores how we think, feel, and behave — from the workings of the brain to the dynamics of relationships and society. At Acadia, you’ll study these questions through both theory and practice as you begin engaging with psychological research and data analysis from your ï¬rst year. You’ll graduate with a solid foundation in evidence-based thinking, problem solving, and applied research — skills that prepare you for graduate studies and diverse professional paths.

With small lab courses capped at 35 students and seminars of about 20, you’ll learn in close-knit groups where discussion and mentoring thrive. Professors will know you by name and help guide your interests as you grow. You can chart your own path through a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science, specialize with the Applied Psychology or Neuroscience options, or challenge yourself in the Honours program.

Along the way, you’ll join a tight-knit community of peers who share your curiosity about what makes people tick. By the time you graduate, you’ll be prepared for advanced study or ready to launch into meaningful careers where understanding people makes all the difference.
