On Thursday, February 5, the Acadia School of Music Concert & Lecture Series presents 鈥淥n Music and the Natural World鈥� 鈥� a presentation by Dr. Michael Donovan.
With a background in Deep Ecology, composer, singer and musicologist Dr. Michael Donovan will share thoughts, music and reflections on the role of nature in music, and its importance in today鈥檚 world. A scholar on the depiction of nature in Franz Schubert鈥檚 poetic settings, Donovan鈥檚 past, current and future projects reflect an ongoing exploration of how music can play a role in fostering ecological awareness and providing solace in a changing world.
