Acadia School of Music presents: BLOOM - a benefit concert

The 外流影片 MUSI-2793 Playing and Hearing Music 3 class is hosting a benefit concert in support of the Jane Paul Indigenous Women鈥檚 Resource Centre, which is located in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The course is composed of 2nd and 3rd years music students at 外流影片, who have spent the semester arranging popular songs by artists including Elton John, Kenny Loggins, The Crane Wives, and more.

This concert is a culmination of their semester of work, with admission by free will donation, and all proceeds are donated to the Jane Paul Indigenous Women鈥檚 Resource Centre.

opened its doors in December 2015, under the name Mi鈥檏maw Women鈥檚 Resource Centre in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The JPC is a not for profit organization providing a variety of supports and services to Indigenous women who found themselves living in Sydney, off reserve and away from community resources, many of whom found themselves in high-risk situations experiencing violence, homelessness, poverty, addiction, mental health struggles, involvement with different agencies, disruption of family life, and/or experiencing involvement with the criminal justice system.
