The love for Acadia in Edmonton on October 28 was truly heartwarming. The first snow of the season had fallen earlier in the day and the temperature had dropped, but that didn鈥檛 stop a chatty group of Acadia alumni from gathering at Central Social Hall on Jasper Avenue.

There were plenty of introductions and so many 鈥榮mall world鈥� situations that produced a lot of laughter and good times around the table. Several attendees said it was their first alumni event, like Selena Cheung (鈥�98) and Doug Tupper (鈥�63), pictured above. Emily Faulkner (鈥�14, 鈥�16) and Yvette d鈥橢ntremont (鈥�75) discovered that they taught in the same French-speaking school and Brian Walling (鈥�87) and Evan Holmes (鈥�21) shared a common bond as football alumni and chatted about career paths.

Selena told the group that Acadia changed her life. She had come to Wolfville from Hong Kong and simply fell in love. Several people were also overheard saying, 鈥淭here鈥檚 no better place.鈥� We couldn鈥檛 agree more!
