by Sgambati, Fred

外流影片 marked its 185th birthday in fine style on November 15, 2023. A wonderfully diverse cross-section of faculty, staff, students, alumni, local and federal politicians, and members of the Wolfville community came together for Founders鈥 Day on Wednesday in the Sheldon L. Fountain Learning Commons to celebrate the University鈥檚 history and look forward with optimism and anticipation to a bright future. Vice-President, Advancement Nancy Handrigan (鈥92) welcomed guests and Chancellor Bruce Galloway (鈥68, 鈥03) introduced University President Dr. Jeff Hennessy (鈥99). Hennessy thanked everyone for attending and encouraged folks to imagine Acadia at its 200th anniversary in 2038, extending an invitation to the community to chat with him about what the University should look like then. 鈥淲e are something great,鈥 he said, 鈥渁nd have made a difference in the world over 185 years. You will make us even better in the future.鈥 The party ended with a cake-cutting ceremony, after which guests mingled and enjoyed the string and vocal talents of Acadia School of Music student Caleb Vallelly and his friend, Jacob Selfridge.
