外流影片 Board of Governors Ratifies Faculty Collective Agreement
New four-year agreement in place until June 2021
外流影片鈥檚 Board of Governors today voted to ratify a new collective agreement with the 外流影片 Faculty Association (AUFA). The Board received notice from AUFA last week that the four-year agreement has been ratified by its members after negotiating teams reached a tentative agreement in late November of last year.
鈥淚 want to congratulate and thank members of the negotiating teams representing both sides for their commitment to Acadia,鈥 said Board Chair John Rogers. 鈥淲e are fortunate at Acadia to have a faculty and staff who understand the uniqueness of our teaching and learning model and the reality of the challenges facing post-secondary institutions today. This four-year agreement clearly places the interests of our students at the forefront and creates and environment that enables us to support our outstanding faculty. Well done!鈥
鈥淭his new long-term collective agreement sets us up well to achieve our most important priorities,鈥 said Dr. Peter Ricketts, President and Vice-Chancellor of Acadia. 鈥淎cadia鈥檚 place in Nova Scotia鈥檚 post-secondary sector and our importance to our region is based on the high quality faculty we have here, the teaching and research work they perform, and the environment they create that enables our students to succeed. I want to join John in thanking both negotiating teams for their determination to reach an agreement that keeps Acadia on a sustainable path moving forward, creating opportunities for our community to work together to strengthen Acadia鈥檚 reputation within Nova Scotia and beyond.鈥
Details of the agreement will be available when the signed agreement is posted to Acadia鈥檚 website, expected sometime in the coming weeks.
